Background of the Study

Leadership plays a pivotal role in strategic management, influencing the formulation and implementation of organizational goals. Effective leadership fosters innovation, improves decision-making, and enhances organizational adaptability, especially in dynamic industries like banking (Yusuf & Bello, 2023).

In Sokoto State, the banking sector faces challenges such as intense competition, regulatory demands, and economic instability. Strategic leadership is critical for navigating these challenges and achieving sustainable growth.
